Dr.
Henry Nathaniel Andrews (1911-2002)
A
member of National Academy of Sciences, Henry
Andrews was a leading authority on Devonian
plants in North America. During the course of
his distinguished career, he collected fossils
from all geologic time periods, primarily from
North America, that he used for research and
teaching. His collection, which provides the
majority of specimens in the Henry N. Andrews
Paleobotanical
Collection, is widely noted for its representation
of Devonian plants and for the high quality
of specimens.
